Acing the hackathon
Judging criteria for this year's hackaton

The Hackathon demo must be presented via a video. Your video presentation should ideally be 3-4 minutes long, and absolutely should not exceed 4 minutes.
Any presentation exceeding 4 minutes will abruptly be cut off after the 4 minute mark to be fair to all other contestants!
Technical
50%
max of 50 points
- Most “out of the box” application idea / Originality - 30%
- Innovation in technology - example – coming up with your own ingenious algorithms OR utilizing cutting edge technology(ies) to build your hack by leveraging its features in the best possible way - 20%
Relevance to business
40%
max of 40 points
- Business value and usefulness - how relevant is your idea to the business? Is the hack practical? Is it something people would actually use? - 20%
- Usability/Design - Is the hack usable in its current state? Is the user experience smooth? Is it well designed? 20%
Presentation
10%
max of 10 points - all presentations need to be in the format of a video
- Crisp demo and sales pitch - give a slick presentation and convince the judges on why your product is awesome. - 5%
- The most fun video presentation - Have a penchant for telling stories? Then this is your chance! Explain your product in your own creative way, make it melodramatic, show off your camera skills etc. and score points! - 5%
